Statement from UUP President Frederick E. Kowal on the mass shooting in Orlando
"United University Professions sends its prayers and heartfelt condolences to the victims, their families and everyone affected by the mass shooting in Orlando.
"This horrific attack was an act of hate against the LGBTQ community. And it was an act of terror against the United States of America and the freedom our nation stands for.
"Any attack on any American, irrespective of race, creed, ethnicity or sexual orientation, is an attack on us all and on the ideals that make us Americans.
"We stand for love, not hate; for liberty, not oppression. Stay strong, Orlando. We stand with you."
