Rock the Vote Challenge Award

Upstate Medical University in Syracuse is honored for winning the "Voice Your Vote Challenge" for registering 31 percent of their student body to vote in last November's election.

UUP joined with the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), NYSUT, the SUNY Student Assembly and SUNY Rock the Vote in the six-week nonpartisan voter registration drive involving SUNY's state-operated campuses and community colleges.

Campuses competed to register the greatest percentage of their student body to vote
