UUP to hold special election for interim Membership Development Officer

UUP will hold a special election for statewide membership development officer during the 2012 Fall Delegate Assembly, Oct. 12-13 in Buffalo, to fill the unexpired term of Ed Quinn, who resigned in August.

In order to maintain the current ratio of academics and professionals on the Executive Board, eligible candidates for the interim position must be one of the following:

• A professional or an academic currently serving on the Executive Board; or
• A professional delegate not currently serving on the board.

Ineligible are:

• Any academic not currently serving on the board; and
• An academic or professional from a chapter with two members currently serving on the board.

UUP policy prohibits the use of UUP or state equipment or resources (including email) to produce or distribute campaign material for UUP elections.
