UUP Treasurer Rowena Blackman-Stroud, seated, hosts a webinar to update chapter treasurers on results of the union’s annual audit, and to discuss the budget process for the 2012-2013 fiscal year. Working alongside Blackman-Stroud are UUP Director of Finance Tina George and Senior Accountant Joelsen Staley.

Blackman-Stroud hosted two webinars from UUP headquarters Dec. 8—one from 12:30-1:30 p.m. and a second from 5:30-6:30 p.m.—to accommodate the work schedules of all chapter treasurers. The webinar comes on the heels of two in-person training workshops to assist chapter treasurers in their roles as “overseers and protectors of the chapter’s assets,” Blackman-Stroud said.

Upcoming workshops and webinars will include a mid-year budget review, and discussions on the union’s governance and fiscal policies.
