March with UUP in NYC on Saturday
Time is running out to sign up and march with us this Saturday in the New York City Labor Day Parade!
We need you, your family and your friends, to join us on Saturday, Sept. 6. The annual parade, one of America’s largest Labor Day events, starts at Fifth Avenue and 44th Street and continues up Fifth Avenue to 64th Street.
Together, we will send a direct message to the dozens of political candidates and elected officials at the parade that UUP is united, strong and ready to fight for our members and for SUNY.
To do that, we need you to march.
It’s easy to get involved. Just meet us at the parade.
You can show up as early as 10 a.m. UUP will be there at a pre-parade staging area, located on West 47th St. between Fifth and Sixth avenues. We march at 1:30 p.m.
We will have tables with T-shirts, water bottles, snacks, and UUP palm cards and pencils for you to hand out as you march. Just show up. We’ll take care of the rest.
Or you can take the bus.
We’re offering free bus rides to and from the parade on Saturday. Buses will leave from Albany, Long Island, New Paltz and Syracuse. We will also provide breakfast, lunch, snacks and T-shirts on each bus. Click here to sign up.
Details about the parade, bus pick-up locations and other logistics follow.
March with us on Saturday. Let’s show the world what UUP is about.
