Protect your intellectual property!

uupdate 3-26-18

Exams, study guides, homework questions and other materials created by UUP members are popping up on websites run by privately owned college study help companies like Study Soup and Course Hero.

UUP is considering legal action to stop this practice, which is occurring without permission from the faculty that created and owns it. SUNY was made aware of the situation at a Feb. 15 state-level labor-management meeting, and UUP and SUNY are working together to respond.

"This is a situation that cannot continue," said UUP President Fred Kowal. "UUP will do all it can to put an end to this practice quickly and protect the rights of our members."

Intellectual property owned by UUP members has been spotted on four websites - StudyBlue, Course Hero, StudySoup, and Chegg Study.
