Below is information taken from the UUP Pay Bulletins issued by the Office of the State Comptroller. 3% Salary and Inconvenience Retroactive Pay from 7/1/07: For ALL eligible current employees the "retro pay" will be paid in the paycheck of 7/23/08. On-Call Retroactive Pay from 7/1/07: For eligible employees will be paid in the paycheck of 8/6/08. 2008 Prospective 3% Pay Increases:
For Hourly, Bi-weekly or Fee-for-Service employees, dates for obligation, effective date of payment and check date varies. Please consult with your local Payroll Office. Note: The 2008 prospective 3% payment will be calculated AFTER adjustment for the retroactive pay. Location Pay: Downstate Location Pay increases to $1850.00 for employees in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk and Westchester counties:
Mid-Hudson Location Pay increases to $1000.00 for employees in Orange, Duchess, and Putnam counties:
$500 Increase for Employees Granted Permanent, Continuing or a Second Five-Year Term Appointment: Employees who have been granted permanent, continuing, or a second five-year term appointment on or after July 2, 2007 and before January 1, 2008 will receive a $500 increase to basic annual salary effective January 1, 2008. Employees who receive these appointments on or after January 1, 2008 and on or before July 1, 2011 are eligible to receive these increases payable the effective date of the appointment. Individuals with retroactive appointments will receive the increase in the paycheck dated 7/23/08. All others will receive payment as soon as practicable after the effective date of the appointment. Employees who were granted continuing, permanent, or a second five-year term appointments prior to July 1, 2007 already received this award under the 2003-2007 Agreement as provided by Article 20.10. $500 Lump Sum Payment For Eligible Part-time Employees: The $500 lump sum payment to eligible part-time employees will be included in state paychecks dated 9/3/08. To be eligible for the $500 lump sum payment, a part-time employee must have completed at least eight (8) years of consecutive service at the campus in which the employee works at the time of payment. Employees who have completed eight (8) years of consecutive service on or after July 2, 2007 and on or before January 1, 2008, are eligible to receive the $500 lump sum payment effective January 1, 2008. Employees who have completed eight (8) years of consecutive service on or after January 2, 2008 and those who will complete eight years of consecutive service on or before July 1, 2011, are eligible to receive the $500 Lump Sum payment effective the date the complete the eight years of service. Individual employees are eligible for only one service award during the term of the agreement. Part-time employees who were previously granted permanent, continuing, or a second five-year term appointment and who have already received a $500 advance to basic annual salary are not eligible for an additional $500 Lump Sum Payment.
