Charge:

The Teacher Education Committee shall monitor directives and proposals from SUNY, the State Education Department, Board of Regents, and state legislature that impact Teacher Education and Educational Leadership programs and assist in developing UUP responses to such directives and proposals; shall assess the impact of changes and new developments in teacher education on UUP members, students, and SUNY programs; and shall help activate members to advocate for sound policies and regulations, support services, and adequate funding to enable teacher education programs to sustain high quality curriculum and recruit and retain diverse students.
