This weekend, UUP President Fred Kowal, above, right, makes his first appearance on “Empire State Weekly,” a TV news-talk program broadcast across upstate New York focusing on politics, policy and other issues with statewide impact.
The show will air on Saturday, Jan. 11 in Syracuse. It will air Sunday, Jan. 12 in Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Elmira, Plattsburgh, Rochester, Utica, and Watertown. Stations and airtimes are listed below.
President Kowal will talk about UUP’s legislative initiatives for the 2019 budget session, including the union’s plans to advocate for more funding for SUNY and SUNY’s public teaching hospitals, and hiring more full-time academics and professional staff. UUP is also seeking transparency and accountability for SUNY’s Research Foundation and campus foundations.
“Empire State Weekly” originates from WTEN-TV in Albany and is syndicated to stations across upstate New York. It is hosted by WTEN Anchorman Tim Lake, abovel left.
