Teacher/Librarian: (SL-2)
These positions are found only at College Learning Laboratory Schools and are responsible for designing, implementing and coordinating the program and services of the College Learning Laboratory Library Media Center. This includes research skills instruction, resource management, curricular planning, reading guidance, collection development, and meeting with teachers to plan for infusion of library services into the instructional program; as required, is responsible for coordinating library services for all pupils enrolled in the College Learning Laboratory in cooperation with the librarian assigned by the local Board of education; is responsible for evaluating, purchasing, cataloging, processing, displaying, and maintaining the acquisitions and collection of the library. Additionally recommends and develops annual and long-term budgetary requirements; is responsible for facilitating, coordinating and providing library services to students in college academic and professional programs and is responsible for disseminating to the faculty information about new acquisitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library Sciences, three (3) years experience as a librarian. Certification in a teaching field is desirable.
