T.H. CLINICAL TECHNICAL SERVICES – EKG

Performs electrocardiograph diagnostic testing dealing with heart ailments, providing computerized recordings for the physician’s review.

TH CTS EKG Specialist: (SL-3)

Plans, directs and supervises the technical and day-to-day operation of the Electrocardiology Department; schedules technician coverage and makes necessary adjustments for annual and sick leaves; etc; provides written evaluation of all technologists; operates, maintains Hewlett Packard ECG system to input and retrieve data; makes software adjustments; meet with manufacturer’s applications staff; acts as liaison between the computer and our physician staff; delegates work for individual technicians; coordinates purchase of new equipment and maintains stock, storage and utilization of support items. Instructs hospital staff and students in JECG techniques and computer transmission; supervises the clinical rotation of students to the department and provides guidelines and objectives for their clerkships. May establish policies and procedures. Functions as liaison with other departments; interacts with service and sales people; assists with accepted research protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree, Certification in EKG, ARDMS, CPT. Three (3) years related experience to include one (1) year in a supervisory/administrative capacity.

Performs specific testing procedures fulfilling daily work assignments with general supervision; directly supervises technical staff, coordinates daily work assignments and utilization of equipment. Instructs subordinates and students.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Specialty training, Certification. One (1) year of related experience.
