T.H. Clinical Technical Services – Audiologist

Incumbents in this position provides patient care services; bench and classroom instruction as it relates to Audiology.

T.H. CTS Audiologist II: (SL-3)

Administers full-range of diagnostic audiology procedures including impedance measurements, evoked potential audiomety speech and language screening examinations. May maintain an aural rehabilitation caseload; responsible for equipment calibration and maintenance; reports preparation and communication with referral sources and treatment agencies. Participates in inservice departmental and community educational programs and supervision of students. Participates in clinical research activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in Audiology, NYS licensure. Minimum three years in a clinical setting required, Ph.D preferred.

T.H. CTS Audiologist I: (SL-4)

Responsible for supervision and coordination of all audiology services. Assists in the formulation of policies and procedures to ensure complete audiological services; responsible for quality assurance program; responsible for scheduling. Serves as a resource to staff audiologist, speech pathologist, other health professionals, residents and students; direct supervision, training and evaluation of staff audiologist and clinical interns; participates in patient conferences, hospital committees, etc.; responsible for department quality assurance program, records maintenance; monitors correspondence, reports. Responsible for inservice training; participates in research and educational programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters in Audiology, clinical certification in Audiology or its equivalent. NYS licensure, one (1) year of clinical experience required.
