A new 15- to 20-minute survey is being distributed by your union to gather information about UUP members’ experiences regarding workplace behaviors and interactions among SUNY employees that their job satisfaction and success.

The survey is open to all UUP members — UUP Professionals and Academics - in all categories of employment. That includes part-time and full-time contingent employees, and employees eligible for or who already have tenure or permanent appointment.

Results of the survey will be used for future initiatives and reports on how to best support and improve conditions for UUP members at the campus level and across SUNY.

“The intent is to better understand members’ perceptions and experiences at each chapter and across the campuses,” said UUP VP for Academics Jamie Dangler. “The results will inform future reports and initiatives to address workplace conduct issues and may be helpful for state-level and chapter labor-management discussions.”

The survey can be taken anonymously. It will remain open through the summer.

While a version of this survey is available for smartphones, the survey may request that you type explanations and/or lengthier responses. As a result, it may be easier to complete on a tablet or personal computer.

The survey was developed through the work of UUP statewide committees. The survey was piloted by chapter presidents in June 2019 and by delegates at the 2019 Fall Delegate Assembly. The final survey reflects considerable input from UUP chapter leaders across campuses.
