Take action! Tell the Legislature to reinstate the Stock Transfer Tax!
uupdate 11-16-20

Thousands of activists and allies watched UUP’s Nov. 10 virtual rally in support of reinstating New York's Stock Transfer Tax.

Now it’s time to go further. We need you to tell the Legislature to return to Albany and approve a bill that would allow the state to keep the proceeds of the Stock Transfer Tax. That change would return between $12 billion and $19 billion each year in new revenue to the state.

Those dollars will help erase an expected multibillion state deficit caused in large part by coronavirus-related closures and could be used to supplement state aid allocations to SUNY and our public teaching hospitals.

Please consider taking action and sharing the action opportunities below with your colleagues and coalition partners. Your participation will help us raise the pressure on lawmakers to approve this important legislation.
