As part our union’s advocacy and educational outreach, the president of UUP or a designee appears before members of the legislature to testify on behalf of our membership. These hearings, along with our advocacy efforts, ensure that our members’ concerns and UUP’s legislative priorities are at the forefront of decisions being made in Albany. This testimony is critical to the visibility and presence of UUP during the Legislative Session and allows us the unique opportunity to make our members’ voices heard during the formulation of the state budget and other critical times in the legislative session.
