T.H. CLINICAL TECHNICAL SERVICE - VASCULAR LAB

Performs evaluations of the peripheral arterial venous and cerebrovascular system for the physician to read over, edit and sign, including post-operative examination of the peripheral surgical points of interest.

T.H. CTS Vascular Specialist: (SL-3)

Makes preliminary interpretation ofa ll test results obtained; establishes new vascular testing procedures and modifies existing one as the need arises; develops and implements new protocols; instructs medical staff and students; trains; instructs and supervises subordinate staff; administratively supervises, counsels and evaluates performance of subordinate staff; prepares budget and controls the maintenance of equipment and supplies; works independently within the guidelines and priorities set by the Medical Director.

Preferred Qualifications:

BS or BA preferred, certification in Vascular Technology and Ultrasonography and with expertise in all aspects of vascular non-invasive testing. Four (4) years experience, to include one (1) year n a supervisory/administrative capacity.

T.H. CTS Vascular Associate: (SL-2)

Independently evaluates the arterial and venous circulation in the upper and lower extremities; applies knowledge of the cerebrovascular circulation and elementary notion of duplex scanning; prepares and calculates acquired data results for final interpretation; may instruct medical staff and students; may instruct assistant; reports to the supervisor of the Vascular Laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in vascular technology.

T.H. CTS Vascular Assistant: (SL-1)

The position initially works under specific instructions on the operation of the different types of equipment and performance of various tests. After a six month training period under constant supervision, the position is expected to handle the work independently. Data is evaluated periodically for accuracy and completeness by the supervisor. Primary duties include the evaluation of the arterial and venous circulation in the upper and lower extremities.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma. Knowledge of the cardiovascular system. Previous hospital desired.
